Stainless steel 904L pipe

904L stainless steel pipe is an unstabilized, low-carbon, high-alloy austenitic stainless steel. The addition of copper significantly improves its resistance to strong reducing acids, particularly sulfuric acid. It also offers strong resistance to chloride attack, including pitting/crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. This steel is non-magnetic under all conditions and exhibits excellent weldability and formability. Its austenitic structure also imparts exceptional toughness, maintaining good toughness even at cryogenic temperatures.

SS 904L pipe is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance. Its chemical composition includes chromium (19-23%), nickel (23-28%), molybdenum (4-5%), and copper (1-2%). It also contains a small amount of carbon, which improves weldability and structural integrity.
