ST12: Represents the most basic grade of steel, with material properties similar to Q195, SPCC, and DC01. It is suitable for bending forming applications only and cannot be used for deep drawing. Commonly used in applications requiring bending, such as refrigerator shells and vehicle fuel tanks.
ST13/14: Represents stamping grade steel, with material properties similar to 08AL, SPCD, DC03/04. Used in industries requiring deep drawing, such as automotive manufacturing and diesel engine fuel tanks. The specific grade chosen depends on the depth of drawing requirements.
ST15/16: Represents high stamping grade steel, with material properties similar to 08AL, SPCE, SPCEN, DC05/06. Used in industries requiring very deep drawing capabilities.
Difference between ST12 and SPCC: Both products have similar mechanical properties, but the annealing process differs. ST12 material has slightly stronger elongation performance compared to SPCC.
