This material specification applies to 4 to 40 mm thick plates of XAR® 600. The exceptional abrasion resistance of XAR® 600 is achieved through a special water quenching process. Applications for this steel include wear-exposed structures such as excavating, mining, and earth-moving machinery, truck dump bodies, conveyor systems, crushing and pulverizing equipment, and scrap presses.
These XAR600 Wear Resistance Steel plates undergo quenching or quenching and tempering heat treatments to achieve a compact microstructure of martensite or martensite-bainite. The thickness of these steel plates can reach up to 100 mm.
XAR® 600 is a wear-resistant steel plate developed by Germany's ThyssenKrupp Steel Company (TKS).
