What Are The Chemical Components Of GH3030?

The performance of any high-temperature alloy depends on its precise elemental balance. GH3030 (Nickel Alloy 75) is a single-phase austenitic nickel-chromium alloy. Its chemical composition is specially designed to form a "self-healing" oxide layer, ensuring optimal stability in environments up to 800°C.

As a leading manufacturer of GH3030, Gnee Steel employs advanced smelting technology to ensure that every batch meets or exceeds the stringent requirements of international engineering fields.

What are the chemical components of GH3030?

GH3030 is a nickel-based solid solution strengthened superalloy (approximately 80Ni-20Cr), with nickel (Ni) as the main component, the balance being approximately 53-75%, chromium (Cr) content of 19-22%, and small amounts of iron (Fe), titanium (Ti), and aluminum (Al). It possesses excellent oxidation resistance and high plasticity, and is commonly used for components operating at temperatures below 800-1100°C.

What are the components of NIMONIC 75?

Nimonic 75 (UNS N06075) is an 80/20 nickel-chromium alloy. Its main component is nickel, with a chromium content of 18.0%–21.0%, and small amounts of titanium and carbon. It possesses excellent oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength, and is commonly used in gas turbines and furnace components. It also contains small amounts of iron, silicon, and manganese.

1. GH3030 Chemical Composition Table (Standard: GB/T 14992)

Our GH3030 material is purified to minimize trace impurities (P, S, Pb, Bi), which is crucial for preventing hot cracking during welding and ensuring long-term structural stability.

Element Symbol Percentage (%) Role in Alloy
Nickel Ni Balance Provides high-temperature stability and corrosion resistance.
Chromium Cr 19.0 - 22.0 Forms a dense Cr2O3 protective layer for oxidation resistance.
Titanium Ti 0.15 - 0.35 Acts as a stabilizer and provides solid-solution strengthening.
Iron Fe ≤ 1.50 Controlled to maintain nickel-base purity.
Carbon C ≤ 0.12 Influences grain size and strength.
Aluminum Al ≤ 0.15 Assists in deoxidation and surface integrity.
Manganese Mn ≤ 0.70 Improves hot workability.
Silicon Si ≤ 0.80 Enhances oxidation resistance at high temperatures.

2.Advantages of Choosing Gnee Steel GH3030 Alloy

Not all GH3030 steel is the same. We differentiate our materials in the following ways:

High-Purity Melting: We use a dual process of vacuum induction melting (VIM) and electroslag remelting (ESR). This dual process eliminates inclusions and significantly reduces impurity content, thereby improving fatigue life.

Fully Compliant with Standards: Our GH3030 steel fully complies with ASTM, DIN, and GB international standards (equivalent to Nimonic 75).

100% Traceability: Every order comes with a complete 3.1 Factory Test Certificate (MTC) detailing the precise thermal analysis results of the materials you require.

FAQ

Q1: What is the equivalent of GH3030 in the US and Europe?
A: GH3030 is the Chinese designation. It is chemically similar and serves as an equivalent to Nimonic 75 (UK) and UNS N06075 (USA), typically covered under ASTM B166/B168.

Q2: Why is the Titanium content so specific (0.15 - 0.35%)?
A: Titanium helps in stabilizing the alloy and provides a degree of solid-solution strengthening without making the material overly brittle, which is why GH3030 maintains such high plasticity.

Q3: Can you provide GH3030 with even lower Carbon for special applications?
A: Yes. As a direct manufacturer, we can perform custom melts to meet tighter chemical tolerances for specific aerospace or nuclear requirements.

Q4: Do you offer wholesale pricing for bulk orders?
A: Absolutely. We provide tiered Wholesale Pricing and long-term supply contracts with Global Logistics Support.
