ASTM A213 TP304 Industrial Heat Exchanger U-Tube
ASTM A213 TP304 U-shaped tubes are made of seamless austenitic stainless steel and are well-suited for high-temperature and corrosive environments. They are used in industrial heat exchangers to change flow direction without welding. Key specifications include the standard (ASTM A213), grade (TP304), material properties (high corrosion resistance), and U-shaped bend requirements, which must maintain a uniform curvature and a specified radius. These tubes are manufactured using either cold-drawn or hot-rolled processes, must be solution annealed, and undergo rigorous quality testing before use.

What is SA 213 TP 304?
SA 213 TP 304 is composed of 18% chromium, carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and nickel. Additionally, trace amounts of molybdenum, nitrogen, niobium, and titanium are added. SA 213 TP 304 has a lower density than standard 304.

Design and Application
U-Shape: The U-bend design allows for compact heat exchanger construction, increasing the heat transfer area per unit volume.
Application: U-tubes are commonly used in industrial heat exchangers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical plants, power plants, and refineries.
Size: While a variety of sizes are available, smaller diameter tubes increase heat transfer area but may result in greater flow resistance and increased fouling. Larger tubes are typically used for conveying viscous or dirty fluids.
End Finishes: Tubes are available with various end finishes, such as plain, beveled, or square-cut.

Gnee Steel specializes in the production of a wide range of stainless steel products. Gnee Steel's product packaging includes: Steel Strapping: Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less are typically strapped together with polypropylene film to prevent rust during ocean shipping, and then secured with steel strapping. Wooden Cases/Crates: Pipes are typically packaged in wooden cases or crates to protect the pipes during transportation, especially those that are longer or have larger diameters. Seaworthy Export Packaging: Suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include a variety of materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transportation. Tarpaulin Packaging: This prevents rain, seawater, and other external factors from penetrating the export crates during transportation. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sale of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in the aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy sectors, and we can provide customized alloy material solutions based on customer needs.
