ASME SA312 TP304 stainless steel seamless tubing for high-temperature environments
ASME SA312 TP304 seamless steel pipe is suitable for high-temperature applications, capable of withstanding intermittent temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F) and continuous temperatures up to 925°C (1700°F), although its performance depends on proper heat treatment. Due to its composition containing approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, it offers a good balance of strength (minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa) and corrosion resistance. Key factors for high-temperature applications include solution annealing to dissolve chromium carbides and prevent intergranular corrosion, and careful consideration of its carbon content; TP304L is a low-carbon steel with better weldability.

What are the temperature limits of 304 stainless steel?
The maximum continuous operating temperature of 304 stainless steel is 925°C (1697°F), and it can withstand intermittent temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F). However, prolonged exposure to temperatures between 425°C and 860°C (800°F to 1580°F) is not recommended, as this can lead to sensitization and reduced corrosion resistance; in such cases, 304L is a better choice. The melting point range of 304 stainless steel is 1400 to 1450°C (2550 to 2640°F).

ASME SA312 TP304/TP304L Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes for High-Temperature Environments
ASME SA312 TP304 and TP304L stainless steel seamless pipes are ideal for high-temperature environments.
TP304 (UNS S30400) offers excellent high-temperature resistance and oxidation resistance, and is commonly used in industrial furnaces. TP304L (UNS S30403) provides superior weldability and corrosion resistance in high-temperature corrosive environments, such as petrochemical heaters.
Both types of pipes ensure structural integrity and durability under high-temperature conditions, playing a crucial role in applications such as power plant boilers. They stably transport high-temperature fluids, ensuring reliable operation in harsh thermal environments.

Gnee Steel specializes in the production of a wide range of stainless steel products. Gnee Steel's product packaging includes: Steel Strapping: Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less are typically strapped together with polypropylene film to prevent rust during ocean shipping, and then secured with steel strapping. Wooden Cases/Crates: Pipes are typically packaged in wooden cases or crates to protect the pipes during transportation, especially those that are longer or have larger diameters. Seaworthy Export Packaging: Suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include a variety of materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transportation. Tarpaulin Packaging: This prevents rain, seawater, and other external factors from penetrating the export crates during transportation. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sale of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in the aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy sectors, and we can provide customized alloy material solutions based on customer needs.
