In 1984, China established standards for weather-resistant steel with GB4171-84 and GB4172-84, including three high-weather-resistance grades: 09CuPCrNi-A, 09CuPCrNi-B, and 09CuP. It also included four grades for welded weather-resistant steel: 16CuCr, 1MnCuCr, 15MnCuCr, and 15MnCuCr-QT. Many steel mills also produce various weather-resistant steel products, such as Ansteel's 05CuPCrNi, 09CuPCrNi, 10CrNiCuP series; Wugang's 06CuPRE, 05CuPCrNi, 09CuPTiR, 09CuPCrNi series; and Baosteel Group's Shanghai No.1 Steel's 10PCuRE high-weather-resistance steel, among others.
